Privacy notice

Pankaj Agarwal, Dubai, UAE, is the controller of the personal data described here. For anything about your data, write to hello@pankaj.tax.

Contact form. Your name, email address, the subject you choose and your message. Used only to read and reply to your enquiry. The basis is your request and my legitimate interest in responding to it.

The briefing. Your email address, whether you have confirmed or unsubscribed, and when. Used only to send the monthly briefing you asked for. The basis is your consent, given by confirming through the link in the confirmation email. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every briefing.

Browsing. The site sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Like any website, the hosting provider processes your IP address and basic request details in order to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.

Ambit. Not yet available. No data is collected for it.

Two service providers process data on my behalf, and only to provide their service:

• Cloudflare — hosts the site and the database that stores enquiries and subscriptions.
• Resend — delivers the confirmation emails, the briefing, and enquiry notifications to me.

These providers may process data outside the UAE, including in the United States and the European Union. Your data is never sold, rented or shared for marketing.

• Enquiries: up to 36 months after our last correspondence, then deleted.
• Unconfirmed sign-ups: deleted automatically after 30 days.
• Subscriptions: for as long as you stay subscribed. When you unsubscribe, your address is kept only as a record that it must not be emailed again — ask and it will be deleted entirely.

You can ask to see the data held about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, or withdraw consent. Write to hello@pankaj.tax and I will respond within 30 days. These rights apply under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and, where they apply to you, the EU and UK GDPR. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
